The Amusing Rage

“How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it.”

— Marcus Aurelius

It is funny to discover how dramatic a facial expression can change with a few slight alterations in angles, lines and shadows. When I made progress in this piece, my friends commented “oh, he doesn’t look that angry any more.” I answered “Great!”.

I often find elements of humor in serious situations.
There is often something really amusing on a face written in red capital letter “RAGE”.

I found myself secretly laughing as it is so “improper” to laugh in front of a face like that. People might think I am mad.
But really, is there such a clear line between anger and happiness?

Sometimes taking one step back, you are right back to realms of happiness. That is why Mr Rage is wearing a birds of paradise (the flower symbolises eternal joy & happiness).

Don’t lose control of your concious mind.

Like Mark Twain said “When angry, count to four; when very angry, swear.”
